LA FRICHE (The Wasteland) explores the aesthetic of the abandoned estate. It imagines a world where the service industry has collapsed, the chateau is boarded up, and the manicured gardens have been left to go wild.
This collection rejects the pristine polish of modern luxury in favor of the beauty of decay. It captures the specific moment when nature begins to reclaim the man-made—when the ink fades, the leather cracks, and the "Caution" tape bleaches in the sun.
Here, traditional French narratives are interrupted. Our signature "Overwritten Toile" textiles feature classic 18th-century pastoral scenes that have been aggressively vandalized with bureaucratic scribbles and "VOID" stamps. Our leathers are treated to mimic the texture of drought-stricken earth, and our utility gear is built from "Scorched Earth" waxed canvas and industrial nylon.
This is not for the cultivator. It is for the scavenger.
THE ASSETS:
- Vandalized Textiles: Classic European toile de Jouy, defaced by the Bureau.
- Drought Leather: High-texture hides that mimic arid, cracked soil.
- Industrial Hardware: Tactical buckles and nylon webbing replacing traditional fittings.
- Palette: Bone White, Rust, Faded Indigo, and Dry Clay.
